Shaanxo X Colorpop Super Shock Eyeshadows Review

My first experience with Colorpop Eyeshadows!

Hey Guys,
I am so excited to review these eye shadows for you because 1) who doesn’t love colorpop, 2) I have an undying love for eyeshadows and 3) These shadows were in collaboration with one of my most favorite youtubers, Shaaanxo. Colorpop is recognized for its sleek packaging, great color payoff and budget friendly makeup.

The set comes with 4 eyeshadows. XO, Deluxe, Selfie and Rebel. Upon first unboxing the package I thought this was a Palette but in fact they were four individual eyeshadows. Each came in a sleek white jar with the name and finish of the shadow printed on the back. The Colorpop packaging reminds me of the MAC Glitter & Ice Collection.

Out of the 4 eyeshadows, 2 have a pearlized finish while the others have a matte finish.

XO:

XO is a pearlized light champagne color with warm undertones. As you can tell this is my most used color. The finish is absolutely breathtaking and it glides on very smoothly. It is a much lighter version of All that Glitters by MAC. However the pricetag on this one is far more pocket friendly.

Deluxe:

Deluxe is a medium-dark brown with warm bronzy shimmers and a pearlized finish. The color payoff is really good for this eyeshadow. Similar to the rest, the longevity is also high for this shadow. It blends very smoothly. A great addition to my neutral eyeshadows collection. Something similar would be Antiqued by MAC.

Selfie:

Selfie is a muted orange-brown color with a semi-matte finish. The color payoff is great considering it is a lighter more matte eyeshadow. It is buttery to the touch and blends out evenly making it a great transition color.

Rebel:

Rebel is a mid-tone khaki green color with a matte finished. The coverage is greater than the color payoff of the shadow. In the jar the products seems more intense than it does on the lid. If you are looking for something similar to the discontinued Velvet Moss by MAC then this is for you.

Final Verdict:

The overall pigmentation of the eyeshadows is amazing. The formula is very buttery to the touch. Since it was my first time using the shadows it was a little tricky but the best method for lid application is hand downs your fingers. Just pick up the product with your finger and apply with  patting motion. One drawback is that I wish the jars were similar to the MAC eyeshadow pots with the shut close lids instead of the screw tight jars. Well if I really am wishing for something, I would wish for all the shadows to be in a nice sleek quad. The price of each individual is $5.00 with 0.7oz of product.

Rating:

4.5/5 stars
